The “1st Tokyo Tech International Open Innovation Symposium 2020” held on February 10, 2020, ended in a great success with participants gathering from locations throughout Japan and exceeding the 300-person capacity. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the people from related organizations who cooperated in organizing and operating the symposium, and also to all of the participants.
The symposium was held as a kickoff event for Tokyo Tech’s Open Innovation Platform, which was established for the purpose of promoting industry-academia collaborations between organizations. Presentations were given on the latest information on collaborative activities by industry and educational organizations overseas, collaborative research undertaken by Tokyo Tech with corporations, and summaries of research being conducted by research units at Tokyo Tech, so it was a very beneficial time for all of the participants. Tokyo Tech will put to good use the valuable experience gained from holding the symposium in the aim to continue activities such as this that will further accelerate open innovation.
Although all of the faculty members at Tokyo Tech joined together to do their best to meet the expectations of the participants, please accept our apologies for anything that didn’t measure up to expectation.
