On Friday, November 22, 2024, the Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Consortium Preparatory Meeting FY2024 Symposium was held by the Preparatory Meeting for Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Function of the Tamachi Campus Land Use Project of Science Tokyo (Representative: NTT Urban Development Corporation).
The symposium featured an overview of the Science Tokyo’s Tamachi Campus Land Use Project, a call for participating companies, and a panel discussion. The panel discussion was titled “Industry-University Collaboration in the Coming Era – Based on the Vision of the New Science Tokyo” and featured the heads of the three organizations in charge of industry-university collaboration and start-up support at Science Tokyo (Yoichi Oshima, Director of Center for Innovation Management; Kaori Iida, Director of Center for Medical Innovation; and Masaharu Tsujimoto, Director of Center for Innovation Design). The three heads discussed challenges and future prospects for industry-academia collaboration, the role of academia in the innovation ecosystem, and the challenges of fusion areas (moderator: Chihiro Shinji, Deputy Director of Center for Innovation Design)
