The event, subtitled “High-End Computers Change the Future of Researchers,” was held to promote and educate companies, researchers, and students about the use of quantum computers and to provide hands-on experience.

Professor Yoichi Oshima (Director of CIM) gave a lecture titled “The World of Innovation Ecosystem DOIC Utilizing Metaverse – Challenges of Science Tokyo”. He presented his vision of the future society that the quantum field is aiming for and the challenges it faces, and pointed out the importance of building a global network infrastructure for quantum research. As a solution, he suggested that a quantum research consortium using the Metaverse could be an effective platform for strengthening international collaboration among quantum researchers, accelerating the visualization and social implementation of quantum technology, and strengthening cooperation with industry and policy makers, contributing to the construction of a global network infrastructure and innovation ecosystem. The platform can be a platform that contributes to the construction of a global network infrastructure and innovation ecosystem. He concluded his presentation by recommending the use of the DOIC (Digital Open Innovation Campus) metaverse provided by Science Tokyo at EXPO 2025 as a platform for not only the quantum field but also for other fields.
